The Winning a Generation for Christ Crusade is Dr. Cletus Bassey’s response to the Great Commission. This move is a structure upon which his passion and dream for extensive soul winning is actualized. The primary goal of the Winning a Generation for Christ is to take the gospel to the un-reached, however its goal is not limited to spiritual succor; the outreach also impacts society through a diversity of peopleoriented programmes. These include free medical services covering clinical surgery, medications and free medicated eye glasses. The outreach also undertakes empowerment of entrepreneurial businessmen & business women through the provision of equipment and machines including motorbikes, sewing machines, salon equipment, fishing tools, milling machines, and the like. Its poverty alleviation and education scheme offers scholarships to poor but brilliant students in secondary schools and higher institutions of learning. The pioneer crusade under this umbrella was held at Obudu Cross River State in February 2007. Tremendous testimonies of healing and deliverance followed the crusade; the aftereffects still linger till date. Other such crusades were organized at Idu-Uruan, Oron, Ikono Ini, Ifa Ikot Okpon, Ikot Iko, Ibesikpo and Ikot Ekpene. Numerous churches have been planted and rooted as a result of these crusades. It is therefore not out of place to conclude that it is not only a generation but the future that has been won over to the cause of the gospel through the passion of this man of vision.
